Gym Rules
At Crouch End Fitness Centre, we take tremendous pride in providing an exceptional member experience. Every member of our team strives to make the gym a friendly, supportive, and welcoming environment where everyone feels comfortable and included.
We are committed to maintaining these high standards at all times and ensuring that every visit is a positive one. To help us achieve this and to keep the gym running smoothly and safely for everyone, we have a few rules and guidelines in place to ensure everything works together in harmony.
Here is a list of things we need from you !
All members are required to upload a clear photograph of their face to their profile via the member app. Entry may be refused if no photo is present.
You must familiarise yourself with these Gym Rules and the Safety and Security guidance to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
You must wear appropriate gym clothing and footwear at all times while using the facilities. Walking around the gym topless is strictly forbidden.
If you are unsure how to use any equipment or machines, please ask a member of our team for assistance before using them.
You must return all weights, mats, and equipment to their designated places after use.
Please wipe down all equipment after use to ensure every member can enjoy a clean and hygienic environment.
Be considerate of other members and avoid occupying equipment or stations for extended periods, particularly during busy times.
Members are solely responsible for their personal belongings while using the gym. Crouch End Fitness Centre accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage to personal property.
You must use the changing facilities provided to change within the fitness centre.
Please be aware that female cleaners will be present in both the male and female changing rooms daily between 12:00 pm and 4:00 pm for cleaning purposes.
Please follow all sauna guidelines displayed next to the sauna door. Any tampering with sauna equipment will result in immediate membership cancellation.
You are responsible for your own safety and training. Please train within your ability and follow any instructions or safety signage displayed throughout the gym.
Here is a list of things we need you NOT to do !
Members must not share login details or permit any other individual to use their entry barcode for access to the facility.
You must not use any gym equipment if you are unsure how to operate it safely, or if you are unwell or otherwise unable to train unsupervised.
The use of chalk in any training area is strictly prohibited.
Loud shouting or screaming on the gym floor is not permitted, as it may disturb other members.
You must not bring bags or large personal items onto the gym floor, as they may cause a safety hazard.
You must not wear inappropriate clothing such as jeans, boots, sandals, or workwear. Please avoid clothing that could cause offence to others.
Please do not train in large groups or occupy equipment for long periods of time. During busy hours, we encourage members to share machines or alternate sets.
You must not use the gym while under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication that may impair your ability to exercise safely. Illegal substances are strictly prohibited on the premises.
You must not slam or misuse weights unless you are in a designated lifting area designed for this purpose.
You must not film, photograph, or live-stream other members without their consent. If asked by staff or another member to stop filming for privacy reasons, you must do so immediately.
Do not make or receive video calls in the changing rooms at any time.
You must not behave in an aggressive, abusive, or antisocial manner towards staff or other members. This includes unwanted advances, inappropriate behaviour, or harassment of any kind.
You must not use the gym with a adult membership if you are under the age of 16. Staff may ask for proof of age if necessary.
You must not smoke or vape anywhere inside the premises.
You must not bring electrical bicycles or e-scooters inside the building; please use the designated parking areas outside.
You must not bring outside personal trainers into the gym. Only approved Crouch End Fitness Centre trainers may offer personal training on site.
You must not bring pets (except registered assistance dogs) into the facility.
For the safety and security of all members, CCTV operates 24/7 throughout the gym. Footage may be reviewed by authorised staff or contractors in the event of a complaint, incident, or security issue.
